Spect Inventory Management Application

Overview

Designed a mobile first warehouse and IT asset registration application focused on fast paced shop floor operations. The platform supports the full workflow from receiving devices in the warehouse, sorting them into designated palettes, scanning and registering assets, and printing stickers for tracking and processing.

Problem

Operators were handling a complex physical and digital workflow involving warehouse intake, device sorting, palette assignment, scanning, and asset registration. The existing process created confusion between sticker printing, asset creation, and batch processing, while also slowing down operators who relied heavily on handheld scanners during repetitive tasks.

Solution

Redesigned the experience around a scanner first workflow that simplified the entire process from warehouse intake to final asset registration. The solution helped operators quickly sort devices into the correct palettes, scan serial numbers, create assets through sticker printing, and manage batch operations with minimal interaction.

The experience was optimized for speed, operational clarity, and real world warehouse handling, while also supporting edge cases such as reprints, failed print jobs, and manual processing scenarios.
